　　除了楓香、槭樹會在秋冬變裝外，北大武山常見的變色葉植物還包括了眼前的阿里山千金榆。又名雞油舅、阿里山鵝耳櫪，主要分佈在海拔500-2,000公尺的地區，屬於落葉性的喬木，它的葉片和台灣櫸非常相似，本種為重鋸齒緣，台灣櫸為單鋸齒緣；阿里山千金榆樹型優美，在秋冬之際不得不讓路過的山友多看幾眼，是台灣中海拔常見的景觀樹種。

Its toothed leaves are similar to those of, which are simply serrate, while Alishan hornbeam are doubly serrate. The elegant build of Alishan hornbeam often draws hikers attention.
